Hi! My name is Renate and I am the founder, designer and producer of The Head Up Club.

On August 21st 2019 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Chemotherapy was part of my treatment and it resulted in me losing all of my hair.  Emotional and scary as it was, it awakened an immense strength in me.

As I had little control over my life during the treatments, I made it my priority to play and have fun with the one thing I did have control over; my new look. I was amazed by the scarcity of headwear on the market that I actually wanted to wear, most of what I found just made me look and feel like a patient.

I decided to tackle the problem myself and quickly became a pro at wrapping my head in scarves. I was often complimented and asked for tutorials.

This is when the idea for The Head Up Club first sprouted. Fun, stylish, effortless and comfortable headwear, all ready to pop on and off as desired!

My dream and ultimate goal is that those who wear my pieces may feel empowered, confident and ready to take on the world!

All products are machine-sewn and hand-finished by me and the emphasis lies on versatility, comfort, quality and ease.
